Quick Actions allow you to create customizable shortcuts to your favorite KOReader features, folders, collections, or system actions. These shortcuts can be placed on your Home Screen as buttons or lists, and can also be added as tabs on your Bottom Bar.

To access the main configuration, navigate to Settings → Quick Actions

1. Creating Custom Actions

By default, Simple UI provides several built-in actions (e.g., Library, History, Wi-Fi, Brightness). You can also create your own custom shortcuts:

• Create Quick Action: Opens a dialog to create a new shortcut. You can choose from four types:
  • Folder: A shortcut to any specific folder on your device.
  • Collection: A shortcut to one of your KOReader collections.
  • Plugin: A shortcut to trigger a specific KOReader plugin (e.g., Dictionary, Wikipedia, File Search).
  • System Actions: A shortcut to a native KOReader system action (e.g., Sleep, Screen Refresh).
• Rename / Edit / Delete: You can easily rename an existing action, change its destination, or delete it entirely if you no longer need it.

2. Customizing Icons

You can fully personalize the icon of any built-in or custom Quick Action:

• Navigate to Simple UI → Style → Icons → Quick Actions Icons.
• Tap on any action to change its icon. You can choose from:
  • Nerd Font symbol: Enter the hexadecimal code of a Nerd Font icon (e.g., F02D for a book). You can look up codes on wakamaifondue.com.
  • Custom Image: Place your own .svg or .png images inside the koreader/settings/simpleui/sui_icons/ folder on your device. They will automatically appear in the selection list.
  • Default: Reverts the action to its original Simple UI icon.

3. Home Screen Modules

You can display your Quick Actions on the Home Screen using two different module types. To enable and configure them, go to Simple UI → Home Screen → Modules.

A. Quick Actions (Rows)

You can enable up to 3 independent rows of Quick Actions (Quick Actions 1, 2, and 3), perfect for grouping different types of shortcuts.

• Items: Add up to 6 actions per row and arrange them in any order from left to right.
• Type: Choose the visual style of the buttons: Default (outlined with a white background), Flat (dark filled background without borders), or Bare (icon only, completely transparent background).
• Hide Text: Displays the buttons without their text labels for a more minimal look.
• Scale & Text Size: Independently adjust the overall size of the buttons and their text labels.

B. Action List

Instead of horizontal rows of buttons, the Action List module displays your shortcuts as a vertical, text-heavy list (similar to an app launcher).
